Stevenson PACT’s STEAM committee organizes parent-led STEAM events during the school year in parallel with the teacher-led STEAM classes.
Rocket Day is an annual tradition for Stevenson PACT program in which kids will build their own shipping tube rockets and have fun launching high into the sky with compressed air launchers. In addition as a STEAM related hands-on event, the event is typically the first school-wide event of the year in which new families and returning families all meet with each other and socialize.
STEAM Fair is a parent and student-led event where parents, students and teachers share interesting STEAM topics through presentations for Stevenson children. The students learn about everything from gravity and magents to chemistry and biology. It's a great way to build a lifelong interest in science and engineering.
